Where is that child's mother?!?!?!?

Don't tell me you don't say it. I know you do. I do. When you see a child, dressed in less than they ought to be; out too late; no shoes; booger nose. "Where is that child's mother?!?!?!?" Yeah, we're all like that.

Yep, this weekend, I was *that* mom. Except, this time, there were about 30 others waiting in line for their own little MB's to get their adrenaline fix.

This past weekend was the Schweitzer Mountain Fall Fest (as I have mentioned before) and not only did Hubs find his long lost love, MunchkinButt had a rootin-tootin good ole' time, too!

For a mere $7.00 kids were lining up by the dozens to bungee-jump and flip until their hearts' content. Never fear, no mountains or bridges here. Just a trampoline and a bunch of safety harnesses. Hey, I'm not that negligent.

This was two days ago. I'm *still* waiting for MB's permagrin to go away.

Check out my little Adrenaline Monkey...

The Hot Chick

In the Summer of 2004 (pre-MB), Hubs and I attended "Blues, Brews and Reggae" at Silver Mountain Ski and Resort with some friends. On tap were 20 different microbrews and Hubs fell head-over-heals-in-love with one in particular.

Too bad he forgot the name.

She was allusive. She was the smokin' hot chick at the bar that you didn't have the guts to go up to. She's the one you spent the rest of your life wondering about.

For the past six years this frosty hot-chick was (simply) the-one-that-got-away. {Be still my fluttering heart.} Hubs knew she was creamy. He knew she had a nut in her name. He knew he would live the rest of his life wondering, "what if." Hence, from July, 2004, Hubs was forced to resort to sloppy seconds, aka: Heineken.

Not any more (enter Moses, played by Charlton Heston, bright light, choir singing "Hallelujah!" and large booming voice from the Heavens saying, "And on the seventh day, He made beer!")...

You get the point.

Hubs found his lost beauty at the Schweitzer Mountain Fall Fest this past weekend. And, this time, there will be no forgetting her name.

Life is good.

Somebody's turning two! Mudgy & Millie - Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Our favorite mouse and moose pair are almost two! Yeah! This month Mudgy and Millie will be celebrating their 2nd birthday and your little Munchkin can help them bring in their 2nd year in high style.

Sunday, September 12th @ 1:00 p.m.
Coeur d'Alene Public Library

Just like last year, children in and around the Coeur d'Alene area are invited to celebrate Mudgy and Millie turning another year older by submitting their handmade birthday cards. Kids can create a card and bring it to the Seagrave's Childrens Library at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library by Friday, September 10th. All cards will be displayed during the Mudgy and Millie birthday party on Sunday, September 12th.

Here are some pics from last year's celebration:
