Lots to do this weekend around Coeur d'Alene, but don't wear shinny gold lame!

The Lovely Husband and I are overdue for a night out with other "grown up" type people (aka: anyone over the age of 4) where the topic of conversation will NOT include the latest "cool tricks, cool tricks!" on Yo Gabba Gabba! (just the name makes me hold back chunks). If you're a parent of anyone under the age of 5, you most likely understand. If not, watch this and you will:

But I digress...

In my pursuit to find something befitting what will, hopefully, be civilized conversation, I hit the usual websites to make a plan of attack. Wow! A busy weekend ahead in Coeur d'Alene, but we have decided to hit the sushi train at Syringa (yum!) any maybe some drinks downtown (yahoo!). I hope you find something to do with your loved one that doesn't involve "Razzle Dazzle" hands (yikes!)

Note to self: shinny gold lame looks good on no one.

Trip away from CDA

To see more images from this gallery, click thumbnail above.A few weeks ago the Lovely Husband came home from work demanding a trip "out of dodge" - I guess that's how the saying goes. After some debate we finally settled on the San Francisco Bay area to visit the Lovely Father-in-Law and his family.

The second day of our trip was in Napa (sans MunchkinButt) and we partook in some REALLY good red wine. Dinner out that night was to a glorious place called Uva Trattoria and Bar, complete with live jazz and more red wine. We got in without a reservation (Yahoo!) and, believe me, one was needed: Valentine's Day night and lovers looking to celebrate were plentiful.

Word to the wise: don't piss off the Hostess (something the people in front of us will be better off to remember next time). Oh well... Their bad fortune was our good luck! The food was GREAT and the atmosphere was even better.

The third day of our trip was spent in the city sight seeing and I got some great shots with PrettyGirl (my fancy-dancy camera). We headed to the Exploratorium at the Palace of Fine Arts and then over to The Presidio and I took some really cool pics of the Golden Gate Bridge from the San Francisco National Cemetery. What an amazing and majestic scene!

I hope you enjoy the pics I've posted for you.
